Benefits Of Shared Office Space

‘Co-working’ is a relatively new style of employment which involves working alongside people who aren’t part of your company. And with independent contractors, entrepreneurs and people working remotely on the rise, it’s becoming more and more popular. Whether you are an individual wanting to start a company from scratch, or you’re a small start-up looking for some space for your team to let its creative juices flow, co-working office space could be for you. Thinking of jumping on the co-working office space bandwagon? Here’s why you should:

It will save you Money

Finances are often a huge consideration for most businesses; after all, they’re doing whatever it is they do in order to make money! Using a co-working environment is a great idea for small companies on a budget; rather than renting a huge office space, small companies or indeed individual entrepreneurs can rent single desks. Office overhead costs such as printers, electricity and heating are also greatly reduced when using shared office space.

You’ll be less lonely

If you’re an entrepreneur, a small business or start-up then chances are you’ll be working with a small amount of people, if not completely alone. Most people will have come from larger working environments and will be used to human interaction to break up the working day, so this is a great way to work on your own organisation but still be around other people – effectively the best of both worlds! A co-working office is also a way for workers to get a change of scenery and escape the stresses of home life; it also means home-workers won’t get distracted by household chores etc.

Partnerships and Collaborations

Networking is a huge part of business nowadays, and what better way to make connections than to work alongside other companies? Shared space means you have the opportunity to make powerful links with companies that are similar to yours. Often companies in a similar industry will choose to work in the same offices or areas, so the chances of you meeting someone who could help you and vice versa are very high!

Flexible hours

Unlike most offices, co-working space is open 24 hours a day to allow individuals the highest level of flexibility possible. Due to the huge developments in technology, and the rise in companies working internationally and across different countries and therefore time zones, for many of them it is necessary to be contactable 24/7.  Although this might seem like an impossible task, technology makes it very possible! 9-5, therefore just doesn’t cut it anymore, so the fact that co-working office spaces tend to be open outside of conventional hours is a huge plus for most businesses and workers.
